Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) Diet Planning

While planning a GERD patient diet we should considered these points:

  • Avoid spicy food
  • Avoid the caffeine and beverages
  • Gas producing food like cabbage, broccoli, lentils and bean, milk product should avoid
  • Low fat food whole grains, fish are included in diet
  • Small and meal frequency should be maintain
  • Before and after or during meal time liquid is avoid
  • Eating environment should be calm
  • Meal should take 2-3 hours before bed time
  • Acidic food avoid
  • Avoid alcohol consumption
